| Dada est un archipel d'événements successifs ou simultanés dans plusieurs métropoles. Dada est un mouvement bref et minoritaire d'une cinquantaine de femmes et d'hommes dont le retentissement est universel et constant. Dada est le fait d'artistes qui voulaient en finir avec les arts et de poètes qui ne croyaient plus à la poésie. Dada nie aussi violemment la promesse d'un futur splendide que la majesté d'un passé glorifié, c'est-à-dire travesti. Dada est contradictions, dérisions, négations. Dada se veut mouvement perpétuel. Dada est "façon de vivre" d'après Tzara. Comment, dans ces conditions, écrire son histoire sans tomber sous le coup des accusations que Dada a lancées contre l'habitude du respect, la sacralisation des oeuvres, les mythologies héroïques et l'esprit de système ?
